CurbTable Cancellation Policy

How pending requests, test checkouts, confirmed dates, and cancellations are handled on CurbTable.

1. Current test-payment policy

Live payments are not enabled. CurbTable may offer an explicitly labeled Stripe sandbox that moves no real money and therefore creates no real deposit, cancellation fee, payout, or refund. A saved request does not hold a date. In test mode, provider acceptance creates a 24-hour hold and only a verified successful test checkout confirms it.

2. Before a request is confirmed

The requester may cancel a pending request, and the responsible host or food-truck owner may decline it. Because a pending request does not hold the date, other people may still request that day.

3. After a request is confirmed

The requester, responsible host or food-truck owner, or a CurbTable administrator may cancel an unpaid request in the account dashboard. An open Stripe test checkout is expired before CurbTable releases its reservation. A paid or processing test record requires CurbTable support so its audit trail is not changed incorrectly. The canceling party should keep any relevant confirmation or message.

4. Customer food-request posts and vendor responses

A customer may cancel a pending or published food-request post. Cancellation removes it from the opportunity feed and withdraws active vendor responses. A vendor may withdraw its own active response. No real CurbTable cancellation fee applies in the current test release.

5. Event tickets and free RSVPs

An attendee may cancel an unused free RSVP from the account dashboard; its passes are voided and the capacity is released. A checked-in RSVP cannot be canceled. Paid tickets currently use Stripe test mode only, so no real refund exists. A paid or processing test ticket requires CurbTable support so its payment and check-in audit trail stays accurate.

6. Provider cancellations and no-shows

A food vendor, property host, or event organizer who cannot honor a confirmed date should cancel promptly. Repeated late cancellations, false availability, or no-shows may lead to listing restrictions or account suspension. CurbTable may review booking records and messages when addressing a reported problem.

7. Weather, safety, and emergencies

Users should not proceed when weather, access, equipment, food-safety, crowd, or site conditions are unsafe. The parties should communicate promptly about rescheduling or cancellation. CurbTable may release a reservation or restrict a listing when necessary to protect users or the marketplace.

8. Checkout terms

Before any future live payment is enabled, the total price, deposit, refund deadlines, cancellation amounts, processing-cost treatment, and payout timing displayed and accepted before checkout will control that transaction. Current Stripe sandbox checkout is for testing only and cannot charge a real card.

A request or test checkout will not be charged later. A future live charge would require the paying user to separately review and accept the live checkout total and applicable terms.

9. Separate agreements

A customer, vendor, host, or organizer may separately agree to service terms while CurbTable checkout is disabled. Those obligations are between the parties unless CurbTable expressly agrees otherwise in writing. If CurbTable later offers checkout for a booking, the parties may not use a separate agreement to evade a checkout or fee they accepted through CurbTable. Recording a cancellation on CurbTable does not decide every dispute under a separate agreement.
