CurbTable Terms of Use
The rules for customers, food vendors, property hosts, and event organizers using the CurbTable marketplace.
1. Agreement and eligibility
By creating an account, publishing a listing, sending a request, or otherwise using CurbTable, you agree to these Terms and the Cancellation Policy and acknowledge the Privacy Notice. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. If you act for a business or organization, you confirm that you have authority to act for it.
2. CurbTable’s marketplace role
CurbTable helps customers, food vendors, property hosts, and event organizers discover one another, request dates, and coordinate services. Food vendors, customers, hosts, and organizers are independent users, not CurbTable employees or agents. Each user is responsible for their services, property, permits, licenses, insurance, taxes, food safety, and information they provide.
3. Accounts and accurate information
Users must provide accurate account and listing information, protect their sign-in codes and account access, and promptly update information that changes. CurbTable may rely on the email address associated with an account for notices. Administrator access is granted by CurbTable and cannot be selected during onboarding.
4. Listings and review
New food truck, location, and paid event listings may remain pending while CurbTable reviews them. CurbTable may reject, pause, or remove misleading, unsafe, unlawful, duplicate, inactive, or inappropriate content. Approval is not a guarantee of quality, legality, availability, or future performance.
A public-directory claim is reviewed separately from a food-truck profile. Claim approval confirms only the claimant’s relationship to the named business. It does not verify permits, insurance, food safety, service quality, or availability, and it does not publish a bookable truck automatically.
5. Vendor compliance-document portal
The vendor portal accepts only operational compliance documents in PDF, JPG, or PNG format, with a maximum file size of 8 MB each. Files are private to the submitting account owner and authorized CurbTable administrators and are reviewed manually. CurbTable does not currently perform automated malware scanning on uploaded files.
Users may not upload government identification, Social Security numbers, tax records, banking information, payment-card data, medical information, employee records, or other information unrelated to operational compliance. A user who uploads a document confirms that they are authorized to provide it and that its information is accurate and current.
Deleting a document removes its file bytes from active storage, but CurbTable may retain limited review metadata when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, disputes, or audit records. CurbTable verification reflects only a limited administrative review. It is not legal advice, certification, endorsement, or a guarantee of validity, legal compliance, insurance coverage, food safety, or future performance. Vendors remain responsible for maintaining every permit, license, certificate, and insurance policy required for their work.
6. Requests, confirmation, and service agreements
A saved request remains pending and does not protect the selected day. The responsible host or food-truck owner must accept it before a date is held. When Stripe test checkout is active, provider acceptance creates a 24-hour hold; only a verified successful test payment marks the booking confirmed and unlocks private contact details. A test confirmation is not a real-money payment or a guarantee that the service will occur. The parties must confirm the final scope, menu, price, access, utilities, permits, timing, cancellation terms, and operating requirements applicable to their booking.
Event admission is separate from a food-vendor event spot. A free RSVP confirms when CurbTable issues the attendee’s pass. A paid test ticket confirms only after a signed Stripe test-payment notice is verified. Private QR passes may be used once and may be checked only by the responsible organizer or CurbTable administrator.
An approved vendor offer may open private in-site messaging between the request customer and that vendor. Users may discuss menu, timing, setup, and dietary needs, but may not place phone numbers, emails, external links, social handles, or exact addresses in messages to bypass the protected booking flow.
7. Fees and commissions
Regular hosts list service dates for free, pay $0, and receive $0. When checkout becomes available, a food vendor owes CurbTable’s fixed $50 fee only for an accepted regular-location booking. For a paid event spot, the organizer sets the total vendor price; CurbTable keeps 20% and the organizer receives 80%. A $750 event spot therefore creates a $150 CurbTable fee and a $600 organizer share. For catering, CurbTable keeps 25% of the accepted catering subtotal and the food vendor receives 75%. Payment processing, taxes, gratuity, deposits, and any refundable amount must be shown before a live charge. Live checkout is disabled. CurbTable may provide an explicitly labeled Stripe sandbox that accepts only test payment information and moves no real money. Submitting a request does not authorize any charge; even in test mode, the paying user must separately review and approve the exact Checkout total.
For a paid attendee ticket, CurbTable keeps 10% of the ticket subtotal and the event organizer receives 90% gross. Stripe processing, taxes, and any organizer obligations are separate. Paid tickets remain test-only and cannot charge a real card.
8. Cancellations and refunds
The CurbTable Cancellation Policy applies to requests and confirmed dates. If online payment is offered for a booking, any transaction-specific cancellation and refund terms displayed before checkout also apply. CurbTable will not process a charge unless the applicable total and payment terms are shown first.
9. Third-party directory entries
A property, food truck, or other business named in CurbTable’s public directory is provided for discovery from a public source only. A directory entry does not mean that the business is affiliated with, endorsed by, verified by, partnered with, or available through CurbTable. Direct booking is available only after an authorized owner claims or submits the listing, accepts CurbTable’s terms, and CurbTable publishes the applicable availability.
10. Prohibited conduct
- No fraud, harassment, unlawful discrimination, spam, scraping, false availability, or impersonation.
- No attempt to bypass access controls, reserve dates abusively, or interfere with the service.
- No use of private contact information unlocked through a CurbTable match to evade an accepted CurbTable checkout or a fee disclosed and accepted for that booking. As Section 7 explains, test checkout moves no real money and does not authorize a later live charge.
- No content that violates another person’s privacy or intellectual-property rights.
11. User content
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give CurbTable permission to store, review, format, and display that content as needed to operate the marketplace. CurbTable may use public listing content to promote the marketplace. Private requests, contact details, and booking records are handled as described in the Privacy Notice unless you give additional permission. You confirm that you have the right to submit the content and that it is accurate and lawful.
12. Safety, availability, and disclaimers
Users must perform their own due diligence before entering a service arrangement. CurbTable does not guarantee attendance, sales, weather, site conditions, vendor quality, food suitability, permits, insurance, or the accuracy or availability of a listing. The service may experience interruptions, and features may change as the marketplace improves.
13. Enforcement and changes
CurbTable may investigate suspected violations and may restrict, suspend, or close accounts or listings to protect users or the service. These Terms may be updated when features, fees, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version; material changes will be presented through the site or account notice.
